50 Cent was hacked by people looking for a memecoin, and the scheme apparently worked.
50 Cent said Saturday that his X/Twitter account and website, ThisIs50, were hacked and that the hacker was promoting a cryptocurrency called $GUNIT, you know, like G-Unit, the old band of the rapper.
According to 50 Cent himself, the hack was quite successful.
He written on Instagram: “My Twitter and Thisis 50.com were hacked. I have no connection to this crypto. Twitter worked quickly to lock my account. Whoever did this made $3,000,000 in 30 minutes.”
