What else should I buy?

Potentially, nothing. The Studio Display has three USB-C ports on the back and a Thunderbolt port, making it easy to connect to your existing accessories.

While you’ll find Apple’s A13 Bionic chip under the hood of the Studio Display, it’s primarily used for audio and video functions. There’s also no RAM, storage, or an operating system built in, though it’s designed to work with macOS. You can technically use the display with any PC or laptop.

What are the glass options?

The front of the Studio Display is covered in glass, and Apple offers two types: Standard And Nano-texture. Nano-textured glass is much less reflective than standard glass. If you are sensitive to glare or do production work where lighting is critical, opt for nano-textured glass, but this option increases the price of the screen.

What are the stand options?

Apple offers three types of mounts for the Studio Display:

  • Adjustable tilt stand: Allows only screen tilt adjustment. This feature comes standard with the Studio display.
  • Adjustable tilt and height support: Possibility to adjust the tilt and height. This support costs more.
  • VESA Mount Adapter:Used to attach an arm, wall mount or VESA compatible bracket. Comes at no extra cost.
