26 years after the release of the beloved 1998 film, the Owens witchy family looks set to make a comeback in an all-new sequel.
Yesterday (June 10), the official Warner Bros. TikTok account. Movies started tease one Practical magic announcement. Fans around the world began to break down over the news, which was later confirmed to be a sequel. The news has since been reported by film/news/practical-magic-2-sandra-bullock-nicole-kidman-1236030299/” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>Variety And Weekly Entertainment.

Practical magic stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as Sally and Gillian Owens, two sisters with supernatural powers who have been given a curse passed down from their ancestor, basically dooming any man an Owens wife falls in love with.
Alongside their delusional aunts, Jet (Dianne Wiest) and Frances (Stockard Channing), they end up having to deal with the accidental murder of Gillian’s abusive ex-boyfriend, a resurrection gone wrong. And a possession while trying to break the curse that hangs over their love life.
For the moment, no details have been announced on the plot of Practical Magic 2. The original film is based on the book of the same name by Alice Hoffman, and there are several other books. series/” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>in this series this could serve as inspiration for the sequel’s storyline.
Variety reports that Akiva Goldsman will write the screenplay for the new film (Goldsman also co-wrote the screenplay for the first film).)with Sandra and Nicole set to produce alongside Denise Di Novi.
There is currently no confirmation that Sandra and Nicole will return as Sally and Gillian, but they are reportedly in talks.
