Amy Schumer says people who don’t like her are just ‘angry’ she’s not thinner

Amy Schumer also called out people who recently commented on her change in appearance.

Amy Schumer opened up about her change in appearance and claimed that people don’t like her because of her weight.

Last week (February 13), Amy Schumer appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote the second season of Life and Beth. During the show, several posts went viral online commenting on Amy’s face. People even started speculating that she had plastic surgery. A Tweeter asking “What happened to his face?” has been viewed more than 25 million times.

Amy has also faced criticism in recent months regarding his pro-Israeli Instagram posts amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Amy repeatedly suggested that Israel had the right to defend itself after the Hamas attack on October 7. In a message now deletedit also confused innocent Palestinian civilians with Hamas members.

Now, Amy has explained why her face looks different and opened up about the negative perception people have of her.

On Instagram, Amy said: “I’ve enjoyed comments and deliberations about my appearance, like all women, for almost 20 years. And you’re right, it’s more bloated than usual right now. I suffers from endometriosis, an autoimmune disease that occurs every day. “I am a woman who should read about this. There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now, but I’m doing fine.”

She added: “I also believe that a woman needs no excuse for her physical appearance and owes no explanation. But I wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for self-love and acceptance of the skin she is in.”

Now, Amy has explained more about why she thinks people don’t like her on the Not skinny but not fat podcast. She said: “I think they’re angry because I’m not thinner. I think they’re angry because I’m not prettier and I still feel like I’m the right to speak.”

She added: “And I think they don’t want women to talk. What woman has ever opened her mouth and not been torn to pieces?”

Amy has not addressed the controversy surrounding her posts about Israel and Palestine.
