Exclusive first details and screenshots from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed

In August 2023, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem arrived in theaters and, to the delight of longtime fans and new fans alike, it was a great and fun watch. A little over a month after its theatrical debut, Paramount and Nickelodeon announced that publisher Outright Games and developer A Heartful of Games would release a follow-up video game set in the Mutant Chaos universe. Although he doesn’t have a name yet, game Informer can now exclusively confirm that the title is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed.

The 3D brawler/platformer picks up after the events of Mutant Chaos; The Turtles were accepted by society following their exploits against Superfly and his band of mutants. Unfortunately, their dream of attending high school as a regular student is suddenly interrupted by a new wave of mutants invading New York City. Featuring a completely original storyline, Mutants Unleashed aims to have the same humor as the 2023 film.

Players take control of four heroic turtles, each with a unique play style, as they make their way through the sewers and streets of New York. Outright Games touts how immersive the aboveground and underground world is, as well as the cast of familiar faces the brothers can meet and fight. With co-op being an important part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game history, players can enjoy local two-player co-op in Mutants Unleashed.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed is expected to arrive towards the end of this year for PS5, Xbox series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
