Nintendo says Pokemon Legends ZA takes place “entirely” in Lumiose City

Nintendo has confirmed that Pokémon Legends ZA takes place “entirely” in Lumiose City.

During the Pokémon Day Pokémon Presents livestream on February 27, The Pokémon Company revealed the next major game in the Pokemon seriesPokémon Legends ZA.

The announcement was accompanied by a short cinematic trailer that teased Paris-inspired Lumiose City in the Kalos region, where “an urban redevelopment plan is underway to transform the city into a place that belongs both to people and Pokémon.

Aside from a title name and setting, we haven’t been given much more information than that; however, in a new job shared on X (formerly Twitter) today (February 28), the official Nintendo of America account seems to confirm that the game will only take place in the city we see in the trailer.

According to Nintendo, Pokémon Legends ZA will feature a new adventure “taking place entirely in Lumiose City.”

This statement suggests that players will not leave Lumiose City at any point in the game, unlike other Pokémon titles – like Pokémon Sword And Shield And Pokemon Legends Arceus – where you can explore the wilderness outside of small towns and settlements.

We will have to wait a little longer to get official images of the game that will show us what this variant of Lumiose City looks like, because Pokémon Legends ZA should be released in 2025 on Nintendo Switch.

Next to Pokémon Legends ZAAfter The Pokémon Company’s announcement, The Pokémon Company also revealed the successor to Pokémon Trading Card game (TCG), Pokémon TCG Pocket.

The spin-off game will come to iOS and Android mobile devices in 2024 and will allow players to engage in individual online battles, including “Quick Battles”, trade cards digitally with other trainers and build their collection ; with the promise of two packs of Pokémon cards to open per day, for free.
