There are tons of Pokémon to catch and evolve Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, but few are as original as Finizen. This water-type creature can evolve into Palafin – but the process doesn’t work like most other evolutions in Palafin. Scarlet and violet. Instead of just bringing them into battle and evolving them to a set level, you must take a very specific action that will trigger the evolution from Finizen to Palafin. And unless you know how it works, you’ll be stuck with Finizen for your entire journey.

how to evolve Finizen into Palafin
Scaling Finizen is not difficult, but it is a very unique evolution process that requires a bit of preparation.
Step 1: Make sure the Finizen you want to evolve is level 37 or higher. Finizen evolves to level 38.
Before entering Union Circle, make sure your Finizen is close to reaching level 38 (or higher) to save time and resources.

2nd step: Attend a Union Circle session with a friend.
You can start or join a Union Circle session at Pokémon Centers anywhere on the map or by accessing the Poké Portal in the main menu.
If you don’t have any friends around you to join Union Circle with you, it’s quite easy to find a partner on the Internet through the Pokémon Scarlet and Purple subreddit or a popular Discord server.

Step 3: Once you’re in Union Circle, all you need to do is upgrade your Finizen. You can do this by battling wild Pokémon or using XP candies to save time.
Once Finizen reaches level above 37, it will immediately evolve into Palafin.

how to use Palafin’s Hero form
You might feel a bit of disappointment immediately after evolving Finizen. Palafin looks almost exactly the same. This is where things get a little weird.
Palafin is only able to transform into a hero during battle using a specific move. We will guide you through this.
Step 1: When Finizen evolves into Palafin, he will attempt to learn the Flip Turn move. This move is essential to unlocking Palafin’s Hero Form, so make sure he learns it immediately. If you accidentally didn’t learn the move during evolution, you can always relearn it by changing Palafin’s moves in its summary.

2nd step: Flip Turn works similarly to moves like Volt Switch or U-Turn: when Palafin uses this move, he will return to his Pokéball and you will be prompted to send out another Pokémon.
Using this move activates Palafin’s unique Zero to Hero and he will transform into his most interesting hero form before being returned to your party. In his Hero form, Palafin has higher base stats in every category except HP and Speed.
When you return Palafin to the battle, he will be in his hero form. He will return to his zero form once the battle is over.
