The whole point of VR is being surrounded by an environment, but due to the single-user nature of the experience, others around you might feel left out. Luckily, you can stream your Meta Quest 3 (or Quest 2 or Quest Pro) to other devices, including Chromecast-enabled TVs, allowing friends or family to watch your games, video content and more still by your side.

Before you begin the streaming process, make sure you have downloaded the Meta Quest app on your phone and are logged in to your Meta account. You’ll also need to make sure your Quest 3, phone, and TV are all connected to the same Wi-Fi network, otherwise you won’t be able to stream content to these additional devices. When you’re ready, follow the instructions below to start streaming your Quest 3 to a TV.

Step 1: Turn on your Quest 3 and wait for it to load the main menu.

Step 3: Select Cast from this next menu.

Step 4: Next, you will see a list of devices appear. Choose the TV (or Chromecast) you want to cast to and wait a moment for it to start. If you don’t see your TV listed, it either isn’t compatible or isn’t connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Step 5: To stop streaming, simply return to the Camera menu, select Cast once again and finally, Stop streaming.
