Although Chrome tends to be the preferred browser for most Android users, Microsoft could add something to the mobile version of Edge that might convince people. Microsoft Edge for Android appears to support extensions.

Over on to be able to use it. .

Once enabled, the user will be allowed to install add-ons, just like you can with Firefox for Android. This means that Microsoft Edge would join the shortlist of other mobile browsers that support extensions. When it becomes available, it will apparently appear in Microsoft Edge’s overflow menu.

It looks like this early version of Edge also has an Extensions page in beta. As you might expect, there aren’t many extensions available for the browser yet. However, the “Beta Extensions” page lists three available add-ons: Dark Reader, uBlock Origin, and Global Speed.

It is not yet known how soon this feature will be available in the stable version of the browser. But this version is expected to become beta by February and stable by March. Support for extensions may arrive some time later.
