Pixar’s latest release brings new emotions to our main character Riley as she enters her teenage years, including Ayo Edebiri’s Envy and Maya Hawke’s Anxiety.
However, you may have noticed a few missing voices, with Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling not returning to their roles, while Guilt, Jealousy and Shame have all been removed from the emotional lineup.
Speaking about the decision to remove certain emotions, director Kelsey Mann said: “It’s about are they right to tell this story? Is there too much?

“Because the main thing has always been anxiety. And I wanted others to appear too. But they didn’t have to take it away or not have to re-start the film or distract too much – they had to help her with it. support history and what it goes through.”
Fear not, though, because a cast including Parks and Recreation’s Amy Poehler and Arrested Development’s Tony Hale are on hand to make sure this hits as much as the original outing.
As for where Pixar is headed, should we expect more sequels or a return to the original ideas? Well, according to studio creative director Pete Docter, a little bit of column A and a little (more) of column B.
“It goes both ways,” he exclusively revealed to RadioTimes.com. “So, I mean, in general, I especially like doing the original stuff. We went for a long period of all the originals – and I think we probably crossed the line that way.
“So now we’re trying to counterbalance with a few more sequels.”
But for now, let’s focus on the present and see how you can watch Inside Out 2 – and if it has a release date on Disney Plus.

Inside Out 2 is now in theaters.
Backed by strong intellectual property and following rave reviews, box office projections suggest it will be a return to form for Pixar.
When is Inside Out 2 coming to Disney Plus?
It’s not yet clear when Inside Out 2 will arrive on Disney Plus, but it won’t be for at least 100 days after its theatrical release began, as Disney and Pixar granted it an exclusive theatrical release window.
Talk to TimePixar’s Pete Docter explained, “That’s how much time we had for Elemental. When that movie came out, we all said, ‘Oh, no, that didn’t blaze the trail that we thought it should!’
“But over time, it just had legs. I don’t know if the marketing was bad, if the space was too cluttered, or if people thought it didn’t look interesting. But the mouth ear made people take a look.
“I think this wouldn’t have happened if we released three weeks later on Disney Plus.”
With that in mind, don’t expect to dive into Inside Out 2 from the comfort of your own home until at least the end of September.
