New Frozen the art transforms Kristoff into a human-looking Prince Charming. Released in 2013, Frozen is one of the most successful Disney animated films of all time. After being acclaimed by the public and critics, Frozen spurred a stage musical adaptation as well as a sequel in 2019, and has now confirmed the development of Frozen 3.
New digital art from @high reveals a metamorphosis for FrozenIt’s Kristoff. In a video on his Instagram, the artist shows a time-lapse evolution as he progresses Kristoff from the animated impression to the more realistic version.
The character has a full head of floppy blonde hair, full lips, hazel eyes, and a subtle smile. In the final version, Kristoff simply looks like Prince Charming.
Why Kristoff could be Frozen 3’s sleeper hit
Introduced in the first Frozen In the film, Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his beloved reindeer Sven partially intervene in the film. After an iteration of “Love is an Open Door”, Anna had been seduced by Hans, only to realize that he was evil. As a result, Anna ends up searching for Kristoff’s authentic, albeit awkward, soul.
After officially being with Anna, Kristoff spends most of his time nicely. Frozen 2 trying to find the courage to propose to Anna. In the film, Kristoff delivers a power ballad that is arguably the best in the film, “Lost in the Woods.” Although Idina Menzel’s “Into the Unknown” gets the most attention, Groff’s smooth vocals and the catchy, electric guitar-assisted melody of Kristoff’s song are both an earworm and a great character song.
A popular Frozen 3 theory would make Anna’s character much less relatable
Although Anna seems very relevant in the Frozen franchise, a popular fan theory could change that if she turns out to be canon in Frozen 3.
Kristoff’s endearing personality and strong vocal performance in Frozen 2 both make him one of the most appealing elements of the film, indicating the strength of the character. Now married to Anna, Kristoff has the potential to be one of the highlights of Frozen 3. While the series, understandably, has focused most of its attention on the relationship between sisters Elsa and Anna, Disney shouldn’t forget about Elsa’s new brother-in-law in the process.
