Wanderstop is the next game from the creators of The Stanley Parable and The Beginner’s Guide, and in it you are a character named Alta who runs a tea shop, although it seems that in the past she was a soldier. The trailer begins with charming, cozy tasks in a tea shop, like serving customers and collecting tea ingredients, but ends with Alta on a bench working through a panic attack while convincing herself that she’s living his best life. Both The Stanley Parable and The Beginner’s Guide are games that play with players’ perceptions and are one of the best uses of the interactive medium to tell stories that only video games can tell. Wanderstop looks like an enjoyable game, but it’s safe to assume there’s more to it than that.

The game is published by Annapurna Interactive and is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
