Goeldner, the new interim CEO, adds: “Starbreeze has a strong track record in developing and publishing games on a global scale. Following the launch of Payday 3, the company is well positioned to leverage the organization’s strengths to monetize and grow the IP portfolio. I look forward to taking on an operational role and, with management, ensuring the execution of this strategy.

Goeldner has 40 years of experience in the video game industry, including several executive positions, according to the notice. His last management role was as CEO of Focus Home Interactive. He has been a member of the Starbreeze board of directors since last year. Starbreeze has launched a recruitment process for a permanent CEO.
