“Next: London Boy, with no mention of London Boy.”

Since kicking off her Eras 2024 tour dates, Taylor Swift has decided to spice things up in the Surprise Song department. Instead of just playing each surprise song once, Taylor has now introduced mashups into the equation.

Over the past month, she’s treated her fans to never-before-seen mashups of some of her most beloved songs. As a result, she is now able to create new narratives by merging the lyrics of the two songs. This also means that she now skips certain lyrics or parts of each song.

At her 4th show in Singapore on March 7, Taylor sang a beautiful piano rendition of “Fifteen” mixed with “You’re Alone, Kid”and Swifties can’t stop thinking about how she skipped a line from the song, probably because of her relationship with Travis Kelce.

Intrepid The ballad “Fifteen,” which Taylor wrote about her best friend Abigail and their first year in high school, contains the lyrics: “But in your life you’ll do bigger things than / Hang out with the boy from football team / But I didn’t do it. I don’t know that at fifteen.

While Taylor is now literally dating the boy from the football team, fans couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that her new mashup rule now leaves room for her to sing the beloved song and avoid singing the lyrics.

On top of that, Swifties also noted that the mashup still contained a sweet nod to her relationship with Travis. Instead of singing the second verse and chorus, Taylor incorporated the lyrics from “You’re On Your Own, Kid” and made sure to include the friendship bracelet line.

Not only do the lyrics serve as a shoutout to fans who have embraced the friendship bracelet trend based on the song, but they are also the catalyst for her relationship with Travis.

Responding to tweets pointing out the fact that she didn’t sing the lyrics to “football team”, one fan wrote: “Wait, that’s really funny.” Another said “very clever of him actually”, while a third cheekily joked: “Next: London Boy, with no mention of London Boy.”
