Today’s Nintendo Indie World featured 20 minutes of reveals of new indie games and updates to anticipated titles. If you missed the event, we’ve rounded up each announcement here for a quick look at what’s in store.

Little Kitten, Big City – May 9

As the title suggests, you control a small cat in an open mini-world set in a bustling Japanese-inspired metropolis. Your goal is to find your way home, but numerous distractions and opportunities to help your animal friends or cause chaos will likely delay your departure.

Yars Rising – End of 2024

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPLapjFwSko

Wayforward and Atari are teaming up for a 2D Metroidvania spin-off of the 1982 classic Yars’ Revenge. This side-scrolling platformer stars Emi Kimura, a young hacker (using the alias Yar) who finds herself embroiled in a intergalactic conspiracy centered around a corrupt society. Yar can blast robots, climb platforms, squeeze through vents, hide in doors, and much more.

Refind Self: The personality test game – Summer 2024

This 2023 choice-driven adventure features an android whose creator has died. Unaware of his goal, you’ll piece together your past by interacting with characters and making decisions to determine what the doctor had in mind for you. Decisions shape the android into one of 23 personality types. Are you a hero, researcher, crafter or gamer? Whatever the case, Refind Self encourages multiple plays, and you can share the results and compare personality choices and results with other players.

Sticky Business – Today

First arriving last summer, this cozy boutique simulator is now available on Switch. Players run a sticker shop where you will use over 400 elements and effects, such as glitter and sequins, to meet specific customer requests. Giving customers the stickers they want gets them to open up to players and share their individual stories. The Plan with Me DLC adds new sticker items and customer testimonials, and a bundle containing the DLC and base game is also available.

Antonblast – November 12

As Dynamite Anton or Annie, progress through levels to reach Satan himself, who has stolen your precious collection of spirits. Levels start by planting bombs, then use your powerful hammer to crush enemies in destructible environments. Reaching the end triggers a timer in which you must return to the beginning before the entire level explodes. A demo will be available later today, and Antonblast will launch as a timed console exclusive upon release.

Valley Peaks – 2024

As a frog climber, use your tongue to cross mountain peaks to place radio towers and reestablish communications with other climbers. Each mountain features its own platforming puzzle, challenging players to find the right path. Along the way, you’ll find gear to make climbing easier, play mini-games, and take on side quests from other frog climbers.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes – May 16

This non-linear puzzle game published by Annapurna will finally be released next month. Created by the team behind Sayonara Wild Hearts, players control a woman invited to participate in a project set in an old European hotel. His journey becomes a nightmarish and surreal adventure featuring more than 100 puzzles with changing mechanisms and perspectives.

Europe – 2024

This vibrant sci-fi fantasy game could be mistaken for a Studio Ghibli joint. Players control an android boy with a jetpack-like device who explores a picturesque alien moon. Explore the levels to discover the secrets of a lost civilization. A free demo is available later today.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate – July 2024

Originally an Apple Arcade exclusive, this roguelike adventure sees the Turtles travel through reality-warping portals to find a kidnapped Master Splinter. Each turtle has its own abilities to defeat the Foot Clan and other familiar enemies, with each piece granting new powers and upgrades. Spending currency earned at the Sewer Base unlocks permanent upgrades, and you can play alongside three other players in drop-in co-op. TMNT: Splinter Fate launches on Switch as a timed console exclusive.

Cat Quest III – August 8

Sail the seven seas as an adorable feline pirate to engage in belly-button battles alone or with a friend in co-op. When you’re not riding waves, you’ll be taking down enemies in dungeons using a refined combat system with tighter combos and new weapon swapping.
