Rhys Frake-Waterfield returns as director of the sequel while handing writing duties to Summer 84It’s Matt Leslie.

A few weeks before the film‘s release, Fangoria unveiled a new Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 pictures.

The photos, as seen in the gallery above, offer a closer look at Tigger and Owl’s terrifying arrivals in the upcoming sequel, as well as one of their potential victims, Kelly Rian Sanson’s Mia. Blood & Honey 2 appears to correct a Christopher Robin mistake

Although it is part of the story of the first film, namely the initial explanation of why the various childhood characters became evil, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 further exploring Christopher Robin’s childhood would correct his predecessor’s disappointing portrayal of the character. Although it promised a revenge story between Pooh, Piglet and their former friend, the 2023 viral hit instead focused on the animal duo killing young women vacationing nearby.

The first Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is available to stream on Peacock.

With Christopher escaping at the end of the first Blood and honeyIt almost seemed inevitable that the sequel would offer a true revenge story for the group, but both Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 the trailer and new footage seem to correct its predecessor’s lack of focus on it. With teases diving into Christopher’s childhood, including a connection to a potential kidnapping, this could go a long way toward establishing a more sympathetic portrayal of Pooh and his motive for getting revenge on his former friend.

Throughout the development of the sequel, Frake-Waterfield ensured that Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 will vastly improve on the poorly received original, and a better expansion of Christopher’s past and his relationship with killer animals would go a long way toward achieving that. While part of the films charm is seeing iconic children’s characters prey on various victims, in order to make its intended shared universe a venerable highlight of the horror genre, it’s essential to improve these elements.
