EA to retire Battlefield 3, 4, and Hardline from legacy platforms at the end of the month

EA has announced that it will be removing three of its listings Battlefield games coming to select digital stores later this month.

In a recent job shared on X / Twitter and spotted by EurogamerThe publisher has confirmed that as of Wednesday, July 31, it will remove Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4And Battlefield: Hardline on sale on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

This means that users will no longer be able to purchase titles from digital stores or associated additional content, such as downloadable content (DLC) or any other add-ons.

In addition, online services for Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4And Hard line on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are also scheduled to end on November 7, 2024.

“While the online components of these titles are closed for these platforms, if you own the game you will still be able to play the single-player component,” EA explained.

The editor also noted that Battlefield 3 will still be playable on PC, and that Battlefield 4 And Hard line will be playable on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, specifying that the announcement “does not affect these titles and platforms.”

While EA did not provide a reason for the removal of the listing, it did comment on its official statement. help site “Some games disappear for legal reasons or because players are demanding resources elsewhere,” adding that “there comes a point in every game‘s lifecycle where it makes sense for us to remove it from online stores.
