Need help finding a job or career advice? LinkedIn can connect you with famous experts – as well as AI versions of the experts.

Thursday, the social media platform for professionals announcement Expert AI, a coaching tool that allows users to chat with personalized chatbots based on various career experts and “LinkedIn-fluencers”. The tool is being launched as a pilot with coaches Alicia Reece, Anil Gupta, Dr Gemma Leigh Roberts and Lisa Gates, who can offer advice on topics including relationship management, global business strategy, wellness being and career development.

LinkedIn goes all-in on AI

To create the tool, instructors worked with LinkedIn to provide content to train the chatbot, such as LinkedIn Learning courses, LinkedIn posts, blogs, newsletters, and coaching manuals. LinkedIn also introduced a royalty model that pays instructors for their work. “We work closely with each instructor to ensure that AI-based responses are authentic to their teaching style and aligned with their expertise to ensure a high-quality experience,” said VP Hari Srinivasan products in the ad.

Crushable speed of light

For the pilot, users can ask instructors questions such as “how do I negotiate my salary” or “how can I develop a growth mindset?” And the tool will provide personalized guidance to make this mindset very growth-focused.

LinkedIn has recently rolled out various tools and features to keep users engaged on the platform and fuel this activity. This includes Wordle-like games and short-form videos for its influencer community. The platform has also been working hard on AI-powered tools for recruiting and career development, such as using generative AI to find candidates, automated messaging, content summarization, and a general tool coaching by AI.

The coaching tool is available to LinkedIn Premium users and those with access to LinkedIn Recruiter and Learning Hub. Expert AI is in pilot mode, although it is unclear when it will be rolled out publicly. Either way, now is the right time to become the #growthmindset guru you always wanted to be.
