Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase will be broadcast this Wednesday morning

Nintendo will broadcast a partner showcase of its Direct videos this week, on Wednesday, February 21. Unlike a traditional live stream, partner showcases are presentations that highlight upcoming third-party games for Switch.

The Live will air at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. Eastern on YouTube and will last 25 minutes. Nintendo says in a press release that it will feature “Nintendo Switch games arriving in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners.”

Ignoring the faint voice in my head whispering “Hollow Knight: Silksong,” here are some noteworthy games with confirmed release dates in this window that might pop up:

Many third-party games planned for 2024 don’t have a release date, so there’s always a chance that some of them will at least get launch windows or new trailers. Some of the biggest include Contra: Operation Galuga, Decapolice, the long-awaited Switch port of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Little Nightmares III, Neva, Pepper Grinder, Star Wars: Hunters, Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution, and The Plucky Squire.

Or we could also find out which of these four mysterious now cross-platform first-party Xbox games are heading to Switch. Just a thought.

Of course, there will probably be at least a few new game announcements. Hopefully this will be a successful Direct, and luckily we don’t have too long to wait to find out. What do you hope to see in Partner Direct? Let us know in the comments!
