During a new interview with Weekly EntertainmentGosling looks back on the day a monsoon hit the Scapegoat together, and how he had to save Blunt from drowning. Blunt, who was meditating in his dressing room, completely missed the memo that the set was flooded. Check out the story below:

RYAN GOSLING:
The day Emily was so cool!

EMILY BLUNT:
Yeah, this story is ridiculous. To be fair to Ryan, I didn’t realize a monsoon had hit base camp. I was doing a little quiet 22 minute meditation, at which point my door opened. It was like a hurricane was going on, and Ryan was like
The Last of the Mohicans:
“You must leave!” I was meditating, and now he thinks I meditate too much.

GOSLING:
I thought you were so cool. It is a problem! You’re so zen, wading knee-deep in this water.

BLUNT:
The trailers were moving away. I mean, I was surprised my driver, Scott, didn’t come knocking on the door and say, “We should go.” Scott was just listening to Spotify.

GOSLING:
I think he was carried away. I just saw his hands above the surface.

BLUNT:
All I remember from that day was Aaron Taylor-Johnson taking off most of his clothes and running around base camp in the water. He still had a lot of character. Just an ordinary, mundane day on set in Australia. We went to Australia for the weather, and this is what we got.

The guy who falls just in time has so far received rave reviews from critics and audiences, with an 83% Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the action comedy opened below expectations at the box office, grossing only $28.5 million. The project was expected to start with $30 million, compared to an estimated budget of $150 million.
