Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reveal plans for new film after Deadpool and Wolverine

Fans eagerly awaiting Deadpool and Wolverine have even more reason to be excited, as its stars have revealed that they plan to make another movie together.

Deadpool & Wolverine reunites Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, two real-life best friends who met on the set of the critically acclaimed X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film is already on track to become the biggest hit of the year and break box office records.

While fans have been eager to see Deadpool and Wolverine face off since Deadpool first hit theaters in 2016, perhaps none were more eager than Jackman and Reynolds themselves, as they teased the potential showdown for years before it became a reality.

But Deadpool and Wolverine likely won’t be the last movies the two friends make together. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reynolds revealed that the two friends are already working on something new.

“We have one we’re looking at doing soon,” Reynolds said. said. “I would say that [ours] “It’s like any relationship that’s successful and works: it’s about two parties supporting each other. I’m always rooting for Hugh to score and win. I also know the infinite nuances of his heart and mind and who he is. I can say firsthand that he’s not only a person worth rooting for, he’s someone you can’t not feel good about.”

Reynolds hasn’t specified what their post-Deadpool & Wolverine movie might be, but it seems like they’re looking to do something outside of the MCU. If so, it would be the first non-Marvel movie the two appear in together (though Jackman has a voice-only cameo in 2021’s Free Guy ).

It would be fitting, given that both stars were apparently done with Marvel before Deadpool 3. Jackman had long since killed off his Wolverine, while film-8640282″>Reynolds would have had difficulties with finding a way to bring Deadpool into the MCU before Jackman signs on.

While the two have remained tight-lipped about what their post-MCU team-up might be, the impending success of Deadpool and Wolverine will surely have fans excited for their next film, whatever it may be.
