Miles Morales’ voice actor explains what to expect from Spider-Verse 3

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Star Shameik Moore, who plays Miles Morales in the Marvel animated franchise, teases what will happen in the third and final installment. Even if there were few Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse updates, Sony is working hard to release the next chapter of the franchise in theaters as quickly as possible. After the many cliffhangers of Spider-Man: Through the Spider-VerseMiles faces his toughest battle yet as multiple forces come for him.

In an exclusive interview with Rant screenScott Mantz’s own Madame Web premiere of the film at the Regency Village Theater, Moore was in attendance to support Sony’s latest installment Spider-Man Universe. While Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse may not have a release date yet, Moore was able to offer some teases about Miles’ arc in the Spider Worms finale of the trilogy, sharing the following:

Action… you can expect Miles and Gwen. You can expect anything [laughs] you wait for the continuation of the second. You can expect to see The Spot; you can expect action-packed energy and dilemmas and problems to solve.

Could Spider-Verse 3 end in tragic deaths?

One of the driving conflicts in Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse were Miles and Miguel O’Hara’s divergent views on the concept of canonical events. While Miles learned how a police character in the life of any Spider-Man across the multiverse is destined to die, time began to tick for his father, Jeff Davis. When Moore speaks of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse having to deal with “some dilemmas”, it wouldn’t be shocking if it was about the survival of Miles’ father.

With Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse being organically a superhero story, there will obviously be the element of trying to rewrite the so-called “fate” and find a way to salvage the situation. In Miles’ case, while he obviously won’t let his father die because a canon event demands it, it’s not like he would ignore the fate of the multiverse. It is one of the essential elements of Spider Worms franchise, which is Miles defying the odds and expectations surrounding him.

The only way Jeff could die without it being at the hands of someone making the decisions for him is if he willingly sacrifices himself for a crucial plot point in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. However, it’s still possible that other characters who aren’t Miles’ father could fall victim to the multiverse conflicts. For now, the world will have to wait and see what happens Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
