What the Golf?, “the silly physics-based parody of golf,” comes to PlayStation

Physics-based golf game What is the Golf? will soon be available on PlayStation 5, so even more players can become confused and frustrated by the absurdity of playing golf in strange locations.

What is the Golf? will launch on PS5 and PS4 on March 14, 2024 and can be added to wishlist on the PlayStation Store now. While the price hasn’t been confirmed yet, it shouldn’t be too far-fetched, as it’s currently priced at $19.99 / £15.49 / AUS$28.95 on Steam.

“The PS5 version features fully optimized DualSense support in case you’re wondering what it’s like to play golf on a house, car, or planet,” developer Triband said in a press release. “It also brings over 300 levels, including many already released updates like the Among us inspired by golf! More updates are also on the way! »

What is the Golf? sees players attempting to traverse increasingly strange locations offering some very creative spins on the game of golf. However, even though “the title includes the word ‘golf,’ that’s where the similarity to golf ends,” according to the official Steam page.

Instead, What is the Golf? is more of a comedic puzzle game. “Okay, so there’s a bit of what you might recognize as golf, but a lot more of what definitely isn’t! Confusing? Excellent,” the Steam page continues. There are also options to build your own unforgiving golf course, which you can then share with the world through the level editor.

However, if you don’t want to wait for the PlayStation launch and have access to other platforms, you can already play What is the Golf? on PC, Nintendo Switch and iOS via Apple Arcade (its original platform).
