Zendaya began working as a child actress in commercials when she was just 12 years old.

Zendaya opened up about her career as a child star and how she now, looking back, wishes she had gone to school.

Zendaya is perhaps most famous today for her work in Euphoria, Dune and the Spider Man films, but she first rose to fame as a child actress. From commercials to Kidz Bop, Zendaya has done it all and she started working at the age of 12. Zendaya went on to become one of the biggest stars of her generation after starring in Shake it And KC Undercover on Disney Channel.

Now, Zendaya has revealed how she feels as an adult about working and supporting her family from a young age.

Zendaya then revealed that she felt like she was now an adult. She said: “I’m almost going through my angsty teenage phase now, because I didn’t really have the time to do that before. I felt like I was being put in a very adult position: I was becoming the breadwinner of my family. very early on, and there was a lot of role reversal.”

Zendaya admitted that working at such a young age means she struggles to rejoice in her achievements today.
