A sequel to Freaky Friday is finally coming!

Pink Slip fans gather! Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis have officially signed on to make a Horrible Friday suite together.

Everyone knows that cinema reached its peak when Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan teamed up in Disney’s Weird Friday. In the iconic 2003 film, Jamie Lee plays a mother, widowed therapist Tess, and Lindsay plays her daughter, aspiring musician Anna. The film revolves around what happens when the duo switches bodies after eating a mysterious fortune cookie.

Now, Disney has confirmed that Weird Friday 2 It’s finally happening and Jamie and Lindsay will return as Tess and Anna.

Will there be a Weird Friday 2?

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Weird Friday 2 is now in the works and Lindsay and Jamie will “reprise their roles as mother and daughter.”

In March 2024, Lindsay confirmed that work had begun and shared that she was excited to begin work on the sequel with Jamie Lee Curtis.

Talk to PEOPLE, Lindsay said the new movie was “in the works,” but she couldn’t say when filming would begin or even if there was a completed script. She added that she was “just excited to work with Jamie again and see how much further we can go.”

“Because we talk almost every other day usually, so I think we’re going to have a lot of fun with this,” she continued.
