In Messages, Gemini can be used to write drafts, schedule events, or just chat. And to get it, you’ll need a Google account, the latest version of the Google Messages app, and a Pixel 6 or later, Pixel Fold, Samsung Galaxy S22, or a later version, or the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or Z Fold.

Gemini has just undergone a rebranding by Google, with its new name and an apparent step forward in terms of efficiency. But the tool has recently come under scrutiny: Last week it was at the center of controversy after Gemini generated images of Nazi soldiers as people of color.
