“Our goal now is to support all Avalanchers during this difficult time. We are grateful for the invaluable contributions of those who leave us and remain committed to creating incredible gaming experiences for our players.”

With the closure of New York and Montreal, Avalanche now has three remaining offices around the world, including Stockholm, Malmö and Liverpool.

The two office closures are the most recent to occur at Avalanche in the company’s two-decade history. The Montreal office opened its doors only eight months ago, in October 2023, and the New York office, in June 2022.

The company gave no details on how it would help those affected by the layoffs.
