Star Wars could finally confirm a two-year-old theory regarding a Jedi who fell during the Age of High Republic. Although this period set hundreds of years before the prequel trilogy was once an era of peace and prosperity, darkness has crept in as the High Republic books and comics get closer to the events of the Skywalker saga. To this end, a new Star Wars An audiobook teases the downfall of none other than Jedi Master Keeve Trennis.

As announced by StarWars.comthe new audiobook by Cavan Scott Stormbreaker is scheduled to be released on December 3, 2024. This book will continue the adventures of Lourna Dee, former Nihil Tempest runner, who is currently partnered with Jedi Master Keeve Trennis and fellow Jedi rogue, as seen in the currently ongoing Phase III. Scott. High Republic comics with Marvel. However, new artwork from the audiobook suggests that Keeve could go even further than defying the will of the Jedi Council by leaving the Order altogether.:

As pointed out X user @camandfilm, Keeve’s Jedi Order symbol was torn from his robes. Not only does this herald a dark turning point for Keeve, but it also involves confirmation of a major Keeve Trennis theory that fans have had since his introduction in 2021.

The theory that Keeve Trennis was essentially doomed to leave the Jedi Order originated before her debut in Cavan Scott’s first film. High Republic Phase I comic series. In 2019, Scott wrote Dooku: Lost Jedi which revealed new information about Dooku’s own departure from the Jedi Order as he became one of the Lost Twenty, those who severed ties with the Jedi throughout its history. In this book, it was also revealed that a Jedi with the last name Trennis was also part of the Lost Twenty.

Although no direct connection has been made between the two names as being the same Jedi, it can’t be a coincidence that Scott introduced Keeve Trennis two years later in his High Republic works, a recently elevated Jedi Master who gradually increasingly challenged the Jedi Council during Phase III. Given the torn Jedi symbol from his robes, it seems like the story of Keeve’s Jedi fall will be told sooner rather than later.
