What do you want to know

  • The OnePlus 13 was rumored to drop its wireless charging feature, which was a notable talking point for the OnePlus 12, as the 11 model did not feature it.
  • The phone is also rumored to offer a 6,000mAh battery, a 6.8-inch 2K 8T LTPO display, and an upgraded triple camera array.
  • Previous rumors indicated that the OnePlus 13 could feature an entirely new design as its circular camera array moves to the center of its rear panel.

OnePlus isn’t expected to launch its next flagship phone for a while, but that doesn’t stop these rumors from speculating about what we might see.

The rumors come from a notable leaker on Weibo Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, which indicates that the OnePlus 13 might lack wireless charging (via Android titles). The device may sport a 6,000mAh battery, backed by 100W wired charging. Additionally, as previously rumored, the OnePlus 13 will likely be boosted by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

The leaks continue as DCS has released another round of rumors about the device’s rumored camera and screen specs, according to Gizmochina.

The OnePlus 13 will reportedly feature an “enhanced” 50MP periscope triple camera setup. The informant did not suggest what the other two goals would be. Additionally, the phone is rumored to offer a 6.8-inch “custom” 2K 8T LTPO display.

The post explains that the screen will be almost entirely flat because OnePlus could place “micro-curved” glass on it. Such changes could add to its “conventional” large display size.

The OnePlus 12 is a device launched without any notable drawbacks. For context, the device offers a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED. However, one of its notable features, which the OnePlus 11 did not have, was wireless charging. The 2024 flagship offered 100W wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging capabilities. This was one of the phone’s biggest talking points as OnePlus continued to perfect its flagship.

Additionally, this year’s launch only offers a 5,400mAh battery, so that’s another improvement aside from the display and camera changes.

Back in March, the OnePlus 13 was rumored to feature a design change and an improved fingerprint sensor. These whispers suggest there could be a change in its “hinge”, which referred to the phone’s camera visor as it flows down the side of its frame. This rumor was doubled by a leak in May which allegedly contained a mock-up of its supposed design changes.

Speculation indicates that the OnePlus 13 could see its circular camera array moved to the center of its rear panel rather than to the side. Additionally, the OnePlus 13R could separate from the pack and offer a side-mounted square array.

Recent rumors suggest that OnePlus could launch its next flagship phone late this year.
