Steve from Blues Clues releases moving video

“Steve from Blues Clues posted this after the Nickelodeon documentary, he knew exactly what we needed.”

Steve from Blues Clues just posted a TikTok video that made thousands of Millennial and Gen Z fans cry.

In 2021, the beloved Steve Burns, who hosted the Nick Jr. show from 1996 to 2002, returned to the internet after abruptly leaving the series. Since posting his “emotionally devastating” comeback video, Steve has created a TikTok account where he communicates with his followers from time to time.

A few days ago, Steve posted another one of these videos and it immediately went viral with people comparing it to Elmo’s recent viral tweet this met with thousands of people venting about their thoughts, life updates and everything else.

The simple one-minute video begins with Steve asking, “Hey, I’m recording myself. Tell me, what’s going on?”

Steve then remains silent for the remainder of the clip, as music plays in the background. He nods, maintaining eye contact with the camera before finishing by saying, “Alright, well, it’s good to hear from you. You look great.”

The short video has now gone viral on social media with a post captioned: “Steve from Blues Clues posted this after the Nickelodeon documentary, he knew exactly what we needed.”

The message really struck a chord with fans watching the series. This isn’t the first time Steve has posted a video like this, however: every couple of months, he posts similar TikTok videos inviting his followers to share what’s going on in their lives.

But the reason this particular video went viral seems to be due to timing. The new docuseries Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Children’s Television, which alleges multiple counts of inappropriate behavior, dynamics, and abuse on various Nickelodeon shows, was released days before Steve posted his video.

Fans of shows like Zoe 101, Drake and Josh, Victorious And Sam and cat have all been horrified by the allegations that have emerged and are devastated by what many of their childhood favorites went through as children.
