The new Deadpool & Wolverine trailer has already broken Marvel and MCU records

Deadpool and Wolverine broke some interesting records in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and outside the MCU with its latest trailer. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are back as co-leads of the awesome Deadpool and Wolverine casting, which will see old actors from the Marvel franchise return and new stars arrive. Deadpool and Wolverine‘s first trailer broke a major record, becoming the most-watched movie trailer in 24 hours, and the movie’s new trailer has now broken a different kind of record.

For Reynolds’ character, Deadpool 2 is the box office king, with $786.3 million worldwide. Jackman’s highest-grossing Wolverine solo film falls short of Reynolds’ two Deadpool entries, with Logan reaching $614.2 million globally.

This is Jackman’s first appearance as Wolverine since 2017. Loganby massively using the multiverse and introducing Reynolds’ Deadpool into the MCU, Deadpool and Wolverine has a real chance of crossing the billion-dollar mark. The film would be the first MCU project to do so since 2021. Spider-Man: No Way Home almost grossed $2 billion. Deadpool and Wolverine has a real chance of becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, with the MCU film needing to surpass Joker’s $1.078 billion mark to break that record.
